Why M&N?

Honey is the essence of grassy meadows, wild manuka flowers and gentle breezes blowing through lush bushland. It is the flower transmuted, its scent and beauty transformed into aroma and taste through the hardship of bees. To taste honey is to experience the bees’ blessings. Every drop of M&N honey is a taste of New Zealand.

Pure and natural. Real honey. From New Zealand.

Why Manuka Honey?

100% New Zealand Origin

Since long ago, the Maori have had a strong relationship with Manuka. From food to crafting tools and artefacts, its most significant use however was as a medicinal plant.

The Magical Manuka Honey

Now, Manuka is more commonly known as a delicious high-quality honey. It is made from bees that pollinate the Manuka flower native to New Zealand and blooms just 2-6 weeks a year. Manuka honey can only be produced in areas abundant with native Manuka blossoms, which is why hives are in some of the most remote and untouched parts of New Zealand. Due to its scarcity and purported health benefits, Manuka honey is sometimes known as “liquid gold”.

We seek to take this rare taste of New Zealand, global.

What is MGO?

MGO stands for methylglyoxal, a naturally occurring compound in Manuka honey that gives it its special properties. Manuka honey is believed to have antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. The MGO Manuka Honey grading system is a precise and reliable test that simply and directly reflects the MGO content of honey. The higher the MGO content, the higher the grade of honey.
